Peace With God

By Sonia Griffith

Text: Romans 5: 1 -2

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."

For the First century Christians, suffering was the rule rather than the exception. Nevertheless, while this is still true for Christians in places like Yemen in the Middle East where Christianity is less than 1% of the population and the communist state of North Korea to mention a few we cannot take our salvation and our freedom for granted, especially in this new season that we are living in.

We ought to be thankful because we have been reconciled or brought back together again with God. This was only possible because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary for everyone in the world. By Faith, sinful human beings like you and me are made acceptable to a Holy God. Therefore, we must have an attitude of gratitude to Almighty God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your Son Jesus Christ. We express our gratitude because we are no longer at enmity with you but we can directly come into your presence and freely express our thanks for what you have done for us. Help those who have not come to the realization that salvation and justification is only through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
